give me a starter and let's do this. currently s1 centric. probably down for shipping but she's a mess so you've been warned (currently leaning towards m/f but also open to f/f). aus, crosscanon, whatever.
She can hear it and it almost makes her smile. It's the first genuine thing she's heard in a long time. A fact that makes her sad and incredibly tired at the same time, but she's an actress so there is now way she's going to betray that. Even to Clark.
"No, it's fine. Just trying to get Randy down for the night," she paused. "My son." She wasn't sure if Clark knew she had a son, or if she had even gotten married. It wasn't as if the media was that interested in her anymore, other than to ask where are they now likely followed by who cares?
He had heard. Not from Debbie herself, but he remembered seeing it on Cat Grant's storyboard for the Planet's gossip column a little while back.
"Oh, well, I won't keep you too long then." Clark says, pausing briefly to adjust his glasses as they start sliding down his nose. "Just wanted to give you a call and let you know that I'm actually going to be out in your neck of the woods next week and see if you wanted to grab lunch or something. Catch up."
/comes in late with starbucks. also finally finishing this show.
"No, it's fine," Debbie replied. She moved to sit down in on the sofa, and adjusted to hold the phone with her hand. Honestly, she has welcomed the distraction. Hearing a friendly voice is exactly what she needs right now. She wasn't sure what she would do once Randy was actually sleeping. Train? Her heart didn't really feel into it right now.
"He's practically asleep anyways," that wasn't exactly true but Clark didn't need to know that. "Besides, it's been a long time."
